Canicula Puppies

Canicula are seeking expressions of interest for their upcoming litter of pure working line Cocker spaniels (Due in November 2025).

From fully imported bloodlines they have been bred for their natural working ability and performance in the field. These dogs will excel in traditional gundog Field and Retrieving disciplines, as well as non-traditional dog sports like Agility.

Their high drive together with an easy, willing dependable disposition makes them a perfect choice for Service Personnel, Government Agencies, or Professionals working in the scent detection field.

They will also do well in an active pet home (our own dogs live in the house and are first and foremost family pets). A lot of the same qualities like sound stable temperament, and trainability that we revere in our working dogs are equally as important in pets.

Kylie is a home bred dog (out of our FTCH Peggy) and fine example of a Cocker spaniel who will hunt her heart out all day and an extremely stylish little dog whilst doing it! She is actively run in Field Trials and won a trial in her first season competing. She is one of the most biddable dogs I have met, and this has made her an absolute pleasure to train. Kylie has a really easy-go-lucky nature and gets on with everyone and everything and is a very easy dog to have around the house and has that all important "off switch".

This is an AI mating to Fly (who is a UK dog). He was made up to a Field Trial Champion in one season, and is a strong, hard hunting dog and a natural retriever. He qualified for the Cocker Spaniel Championships in 2017 and 2018.

Parents have been fully health tested, including radiographic hip and elbow screening and DNA tested for all relevant conditions. Our puppies are raised and fully socialised in a family environment.
